个人简介:
1982兰州大学地质学专业本科毕业,1985兰州大学地层古生物专业硕士毕业,1995中国矿业大学地质勘查专业博士毕业;1999-2000中国科学院广州地球化学研究所有机地球化学国家重点实验室客座研究员;2001-2002美国佛罗里达大学地球科学系高级访问学者及博士后研究;2004-2005德国图宾根大学地球科学系DFG高级访问学者。2009年入选甘肃省领军人才第一层次。
科研上近年来主持国家自然科学基金和国家973项目专题6项、教育部科技重点项目、教育部博士点基金、甘肃省自然基金5项,区域地质调查与资源勘查横向课题20多项。用中、英文在国内外重要学术刊物上发表论文180多篇,其中第一作者或通讯作者SCI论文53篇,出版专著3部,作为第一作者的代表性论文发表于美国科学院院报—PNAS,得到了国内外同行的高度评价和国家自然科学基金委的关注。
学术上任第一、第二届国家古生物化石专家委员会委员,第四届全国地层委员会委员,第38,39届中国地质学会理事,中国古生物学会常务理事,中国古生物学会教育工作委员会主任委员,中国古生物学会古植物分会副理事长、中国古生物学会古生态学专业委员会副理事长,第五届现代古生物学与地层学国家重点实验室学术委员会委员,第一、第二届教育部高等学校地球科学教学指导委员会地质学与地球物理学分委员会委员,国际地质对比计划(IGCP-506、IGCP-608项目)中国专家组委员。《Acta Geologica Sinica》、《古生物学报》、《高校地质学报》、《兰州大学学报》、《生物进化》、《甘肃地质》编委。培养博士生22人(已毕业获博士学位),硕士生46人。
